Ethan and Kamryn's combined birthday party

We celebrated Ethan and Kamyryn's birthday together last Sunday. Mike and I spent the Saturday before decorating cakes for them. It was a lot of work and a lot of fun! Ethan requested a Batman cake and Kamryn a Backyardigan's cake! The kids were really excited to see their cakes when they were all done and their faces were priceless! I really love the tradition of making their cakes every year and can't wait to make Brooke's in a couple months as well! Ethan and Kamryn enjoyed tearing through their presents and playing with their cousins. We are so grateful for such a big family and that they could all celebrate with us!

Cabin!

Every summer our family tries to go up to my sister Donna's cabin to spend time as a family. There are so many things to do like fishing, tubing, swimming and just relaxing and soaking up the sunshine! Ethan, Adriauna and Mike had a blast catching fish off the dock with hot dog pieces as bait. When you walk out on the dock, tons of sun fish swim up to the edge of the dock just waiting for their hot dogs. Kamryn enjoyed swimming in the lake. She spends lots of time just wading around with or without her life jacket, or in a tube! We all enjoyed a good tube ride around the lake. Of course we take it slow for the little ones but I like a little excitement and go fast and occasionally fly off the tube. There is a really great spot across the lake where you can fill up the boat with gas and grab some ice cream for a little cool treat. We all enjoy that as well. I am already looking forward to the next trip up to the cabin. Maybe we will even do it again this summer!

Brooke was exhausted and always seems to fall asleep so easily in Nana's arms.....how sweet!

Adriauna, Mike and Ethan spent the majority of their time on the dock fishing.

Ethan does not care for smore's but he loves a good oreo cookie!

Hanging Out

While my sister was here, we went to an amazing dessert place off Main Street in Anoka called "Truffles and Tortes" They have a great selection of desserts that are decadent and delicious!
