Thanksgiving 2010

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. On Thursday we celebrated with the Bean side and on Friday with the Olson side. We are very fortunate to live close to our families.

Hair flowers: My new found hobby!

Hair flowers seem to be the latest trend right now and I tried my hand at making some. I find that I really enjoyed creating these hair pieces so in my spare time I have been making quite an abundance. I enjoy making them so much that I think I will start selling them so others can enjoy them as well and so that I can afford to keep my new found hobby! I have been making headbands as well which you will see in previous and future posts on my own darling little models, Brooke and Kamryn!

First Snow November 2010

There is nothing like the first snow in the fall to put you in the Christmas spirit! Ethan and Kamryn woke up and ran to the sliding glass door to see a backyard full of sticky white snow and begged "Can we go outside and play in the snow?" Of course, right after breakfast Mike took them out and they build a snowman.

Brooke watched through the sliding glass door in envy as they played in the snow. It was nothing a sucker could not cure though.

The snow was coming down pretty hard and was really wet and sticky so they were soaked by the time they came in. They had a great time!

Halloween 2010

Happy Halloween! Trick or Treating around the neighborhood is definitely a tradition that we have not strayed from. I guess there is something about the lit up pumpkins and going door to door in our friendly neighborhoods in costumes and passing out candy from our own home that just can't be matched. I was surprised how long the kids wanted to go. We finally had to drag Ethan and Kami in the house crying because we had decided that they had enough candy and cold for one Halloween! They are already talking about next Halloween! It is just too bad that Adriuana wanted to stay inside the house where it was warm and not join us for the door to door fun.

Trunk or Treat!

We had a trunk or treat with fellow church members. Everyone met in a near by parking lot, decorated our trunks and let the kids go from vehicle to vehicle trunk or treating. I must say it was a fantastic turn out and we had a great time!
