37 weeks.......

I am 37 weeks today! My Dr. told me that I am almost dilated to a 3. How far along can you be dilated before you go into actual labor anyways?! I guess that would have been a good question for the Dr. but I did not think about that until I was on my way home from the appointment. She told me that she would like to see me in labor really soon. I told her I felt the same. I don't want to gain any more weight. I have been trying to convince myself that my pre pregnancy weight was higher than it actually was and that my scale was off telling me that I weighed less than I actually did at the time. Now I am dong the opposite, trying to convince myself that my scale at home is saying I am heavier then I actually am........to bad the Dr. scale is not on my side. Anyways, no picture of me at 37 weeks. Maybe I'll have Mike take one tonight. I sure hope I don't have a 40 week picture like I did when I was pregnant with Brooke. All these contractions I keep having are such a tease.

36 weeks but who's counting, right?!!

I can't believe I am 36 weeks along today! Time sure flies when you are chasing children around all day. The little ones sure do keep me busy but I know it is just going to get more crazy really soon. I have not felt overly anxious to go into labor until I went to my Dr. appointment today and was told that I am dilated to a 2, Brandon is in the head down position and the Dr. told me that I am ready to go! Well, just because my body is ready, does not mean that Brandon is coming anytime in the next week or two but it sure get's me excited. Although I am excited, I am not as prepared as I would like to be. I did wash all the baby clothes yesterday though. I still need to get a few things in order and I guess it is about time to pack a bag....just in case! This is when time starts slowing down and everyone starts asking me when I am due and I repeat it multiple times a day so naturally I think about it more often. I am going to try to spend some time with the other kids doing things that I won't be able to do after Brandon arrives in the next few weeks. Mike and I are going to go on a few dates as well :-)

Ethan and Kami's family party

Kami and Ethan were spoiled at their family birthday party this weekend!

During the happy birthday song, Ethan sported a smile but Kami was being a little bashful.

However, when it was time to eat the cake, Kami let loose quite a bit.

Kami and Ethan's friend birthday party!

Ethan and Kamryn had their first "Friend birthday party" and it was a great success! They each invited some of their friends to join them for a birthday party celebration at "Twin City Twisters"(a gymnastics place that you can rent out for birthday parties) They offer the big gym with all the equipment plus bouncy house, bouncy dragon, full size trampolines, foam pit with swinging ropes and dive boards, fully decorated party room and so much more! The kids all had a blast and Mike even enjoyed the trampoline and the big foam pit you jump in. I have to admit, I was a little jealous that I could not participate in some of the activities since I am pregnant.

Ethan and Kami with there cakes right before their birthday party. It took me all day to decorate these cakes but the looks on their faces are always priceless and worth all the time I put into their cakes every year!

His soft landing! Who would not want to try this out?!

Ethan and Tee ball

It is so exciting to watch Ethan playing tee-ball with his team mates. Ethan has come along way from being so shy that he would not even leave my side to taking direction from his coaches and playing tee ball without Mom standing beside him the whole time. I am so proud of my little home run hitter! Yes, you heard me, Ethan just hit a home run last night at the one game I missed watching. How does a 5 year old hit a home run you ask? Well, since the kids are just learning the basic skills and rules of tee ball at this age, There are no such thing as outs and as you can imagine, there really is no outfield because the kids can't hit the ball out that far yet. However, they let the last batter of the game run all the bases, letting them be the "Home run Hitter" for that game.

Here is Ethan hitting his home run!!!!

Waiting for his turn to bat

Ethan's helmet was too big for him so he had to hold it so it would not fall off as he runs the bases.

Fun at the Zoo!

We took the kids to the Como Zoo to see the animals and watch the Sparky show of course! We only took a few pictures seeing that I had my hands full with the kids but Ethan has always wanted to sit on these giraffes for a picture and they were always too hot to sit on when we have visited until this day so we got one this time :-)

Children's Museum

Our family can't get enough of the Children's museum!

Ethan checking out with his groceries at the child sized grocery store

I am pretty sure that this is Kami's favorite place so far at the museum. She had so much fun filling her cart with food and checking out at the register. I thought we would never be able to drag her out of there.

Brooke has a great time shopping as well :-) She was a very serious shopper in fact

Ethan all dressed up in the pilot costume

Kami dressed up in the construction worker costume! The imaginative play section was so much fun.

The kids always have a great time playing in the pool

Ethan and cousin Derek

I love how curly Ethan's hair is. I just had to post this picture of him and his cousin Derek. Their hair is so similar!

July 4th 2011

Our church put on a wonderful July 4th activity. We started off with a flag ceremony in the morning where everyone sang the National Anthem followed by raising the flag and reciting the pledge of allegiance. After the ceremony we had a wonderful breakfast outside and then all the kids decorated their bikes and paraded around the parking lot. It turned out to be a wonderful morning :-)
